White Bluff Resort On the Road to Better Times
The much anticipated news for White Bluff homeowners and residents came early this week. For many, it was like the arrival of Christmas morning! A lengthy, complex legal battle between White Bluff Resort developer, Double Diamond, and the White Bluff Property Owners’ Association (POA) resorted in the closure of most of the resort’s amenities in late 2017. Through diligence, determination, and love for this community, the Property Owners’ Association (POA) Board was able to complete the transfer of all White Bluff amenities to POA ownership. A collective sigh of relief could almost be heard by White Bluff residents on Monday, October 1, with this announcement.
Now begins the road to restoration of White Bluff. Because of restrictions resulting from the legal battle, most of the resort’s beautiful amenities have been sitting unused and not maintained for almost a year. Fortunately, this dedicated Board has done its due diligence and has a plan in place. The Board and numerous committees have been very proactive in establishing priorities and corresponding courses of action. Plans are in place for staffing and restoring the golf courses to provide an excellent golf experience for White Bluff residents and guests with the hopes of both courses being ready for late spring 2019. Contracts are already in place to renovate resort accommodations to first class lodging for White Bluff guests. Additionally, committees are working tirelessly to make recommendations for action to the dining, marina, and spa & fitness center. Extensive work has been planned for the much loved Trophy Grill placing its re-opening as a high priority.
There are so many exciting plans underway, and White Bluff residents are blessed with a Board that is committed to re-building our resort to a status of excellence.
